Squirrel in a Trap

Last year we borrowed a trap from Miss Be because it wasn't working correctly, and we were going to try to find out why.  This year we finally got it out, but we didn't catch any squirrels; atleast the first two times.  Something was getting the bait but not getting trapped.  The third time Dad kept the bait in by holding it in the middle of a loop from an old hanger.  It worked!  We caught a squirrel with it.  We will keep the trap until Miss Be wants it back.

  2. You are having amazing experiences, Connor. How exciting to catch something in your trap! I probably don't want to know what happened to the squirrel next. :)

    Love, Grandma

PS: Don't worry. I removed my first comment because of a typo.

  3. You are doing such interesting things. I'm curious about trapping squirrels. Why do people do it? Are they for eating? I think long ago
many people on the frontier hunted them for food. I love you, GramE(heart)

  4. Because you are all probably concerned about what we did with the squirrel, I thought I'd let you know that we let it go. GramE, around here people trap this type of squirrel because they pester people and sometimes try to gnaw through walls.

    1. Ah, that makes sense. I remember hearing of people who got squirrels in the attic and had such a hard time getting rid of them. Maybe they needed a trap like yours!! I love you, GramE(heart)
