The Piano

A couple days ago I was taking piano lessons and Mom realized I wasnt having too much fun. The reason was because the songs in the book were kind of "dumb." They had lyrics that were for little kids. Now I am in a new piano lesson book that has better songs for me. I am learning where the notes are on the piano and hope I improve soon.

    Your mom has great insight, doesn't she? I hope you keep trying, Connor, because I haven't yet met a person who regrets learning music as a child. If you keep at it, it will get easier and easier and more and more FUN!!! I love you, GramE(heart)

    Your other grandma is right, Connor. I think Uncle Tim & Uncle David would tell you similar things about appreciating piano lessons. They just wish they had been taught by a different method so that they would have gotten more out of the time they spent taking lessons. Uncle David enjoyed playing "rag". Maybe we should send you one of his books to try out. I think you would like that kind of songs--maybe when you get a little further along.
