Two weeks ago we borrowed a poetry book from the library. There were some poems in it that Mom and I recognized like "Casey at the Bat", "The Raven", "Wynken, Blynken and Nod", and... Frodo's Song in Bree by J. R. R. Tolkien. It appears in
The Fellowship of the Ring, the first
Lord of the Rings book. We took a video of me reciting the whole poem (I memorized it.), but Mom can't get it to download on this blog.
We started a unit about poems in school.Mom taught us about rhy ming and rhythm patterns. Then I wrote these poems. I got the format idea from
The Boys' Book - How to be the Best at Everything.

What a fun blog post! And the perfect illustration at the end. :) I do hope we'll be able to eventually see the video of you reciting the poem. You always have something new and interesting to tell us about. Keep up the good work!

It seems you are learning about such interesting things. I'm so glad to see that poetry is fun for you. Great job on those verses that you wrote. They help me picture what you're writing about. Your picture could be on an advertisment for ribs, it makes them look so good! I love you. GramE.(heart)
ReplyDeleteHey Connor,
ReplyDeleteI figured out you last riddle really fast. When you said, "I am using them." I knew right away that the answer was "computers" but I still can't believe that you have 26 of them in your house. (Do you keep some of them in the garage and a few others in the shop?
O. K., I need to run off to work on my moderately accurate drawing of Alaska.
Bye, I love y'all. POP
