You might be thinking right now, 'what in the world is an imaginary gym, ' or ' I did'nt know the ALBERS family plays soccer'. The imaginary gym is the sanctuary in our church. And, yes, we did play soccer. First ,we moved all of the chairs away. Then we got my almost-flat soccer ball and started to play. Mom and I were on a team, and Dad and Samantha were on a team. The first game was a tie (atleast that's what I think). Dad called a shot out of the goal that I know went in.
The second game, my team won. All in all, it was awesome!
Hi Connor, It was so fun to hear about your "imaginary gym"! When I woke up this morning one of the things on my mind was finding creative things to do when the weather keeps you indoors. (We're having some cool, rainy days here.) My mind went to you and your family in Alaska in the middle of winter and I thought about all the things you find to do -- I NEVER would have guessed you played soccer indoors, but that is awesome. I'll bet it was fun. I love you, GramE(heart)
ReplyDeleteNot many people get to play soccer in church. :) Ah, yes! The happy memories of "calling" the shots--what went in and what didn't. When your dad was a little boy playing soccer, the parents would sometimes be the referees. That got REAL tricky when someone had to decide that the whistle blew to end the game just as the ref's son kicked the ball into the goal. Soccer inside sounds like a fun way to spend a snowy day.
