It was interesting to go down to the Jack and found that parts of it are iced over. Samantha and I were on some ice and we were purposely breaking it with our feet. The Jack is a river near our house in Cantwell.
I've been there! :) It looks COLD!!! In the picture "frame" in our living room we still have beautiful pictures from the last two weeks in August rotating through. Has it already been two months?!! :) It's gotten cold here, too--down to 32 degrees at night, and we have a fire going in the stove during the daytime.
The Jack sure looks different from when we were there last Spring! I wonder how deep the water was where you were breaking through it. How fun! GramE (heart)
