The Double Post

Yesterday, Bob Hempsted invited me and Samantha over to feed his sled dogs. We had a good time. We feed them their dog food along with a hamburger/water mixture.

The day before that, there were five ptarmigan in our yard. They are our state bird. In summer, ptarmigan change from white to brown so that they are camouflaged with the dirt, and in winter their feathers are white to blend in with the snow. They also have feathers all the way down their legs to keep them warm.

The JELLO cell

Last Wednesday, we made a model of a cell with peas, jello, a hard boiled egg, and noodles. The ingredients were different parts and organelles like lysosomes, cytoplasm, and nucleus.

Psalm 23

This past week we were learning Psalm 23. I know how it goes already! My dad thinks I am an auditory learner , and I think so, too. I heard Mom read the verses a couple times, I said it a couple times, and then I had it memorized.

My favorite part is verse 5, about the food:
"You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies."

Biggest Mountain I've Ever Seen

When Grandpa and Grandma came to Alaska we got to see Mt. McKinley. These are some pictures that we took a few miles south of Cantwell. We don't usually have a clear sky, so its uncommon to see the mountain.

This is me, Mom, and Samantha, standing in front of unnamed lake and Mt. McKinley. Samantha and I had fun surpising Mom with a bouquet of flowers.
